Lenovo ThinkPad T530 Available Starting June

The ThinkPad T530 was announced today and will be available for purchase starting the first half of June. The T530 will of course have the latest Intel Ivy Bridge family of processors, giving it a significant performance boost over the previous T520. The ThinkPad T530 also gets new keyboard treatment in the form of the chiclet style ThinkPad Precision Keyboard, something that Lenovo is claiming is a new and improved keyboard experience over previous generations. This keyboard will come with the option of a backlit keyboard, the top of the screen keyboard illuminating ThinkLight will still be present.



In terms of screen options, the T530 will have up to a 1080p screen option(1920 x 1080 resolution). It will have a 95% color gamut so should be a real treat for viewing.

Here’s a complete rundown of the new features and specs of the ThinkPad T530 over the previous T520:

The ThinkPad T530 will of course feature the new Intel 3rd Generation Core processors, known as Ivy Bridge. Graphics will rely on either the Intel integrated HD 4000 or dedicated Nvidia graphics. Lenovo is claiming a 40% better boot time than typical Windows 7 laptops thanks to Lenovo Enhanced Experience 3.0 with RapidBoot technology. For even faster boot times there will of course be SSD storage options and it will support the mini SSD via mSATA as well.



The ThinkPad T530 will be available starting in early June via Lenovo.com with a starting price of $979.
