New Rumours Regarding The iPhone 5 Chipset And Design

There is no doubt that one of the most eagerly anticipated mobile smartphone releases of all time is the iPhone 5. Whenever a new Apple iPhone is released it always proves very popular with consumers but this new model looks to be more popular than all of its predecessors thanks to a brand new design and larger Retina display. Until this phone is officially launched we are having to look at the hundreds of rumours surrounding this new phone to see if there are any clues about the specification and release date of this phone and some new rumours have surfaced in the past few days that look very interesting.

A recent firmware update for the iOS operating system that is used by all iPhone models has hinted that Apple are already testing iPhone 5 devices. Obviously Apple have not officially unveiled the new handset so the design is a closely guarded secret but it is believed that there are some iPhone 5 devices in circulation but fitted in an iPhone 4S chassis as to not arouse suspicion. This gives the developers a chance to see how the new rumoured chipset behaves in daily use. A report on internet site 9to5mac.com stated ""This iPhone that we are describing is an internal-only unit built for testing the performance of a new chip in an iPhone, not an actual phone that Apple will produce". It is suspected that Apple will opt to fit the new A5X processor in the new model and this is the chip that the prototype models are rumoured to be running on. In addition to this there is also set to be a massive 1GB of RAM memory available on this exciting new handset.

Some more rumours relating to the specification of the new iPhone 5 have also surfaced recently. These rumours give us a little more indication about the design of the new handset. It looks as though the model may be the first iPhone to sport a uni body design. This means that the chassis of the phone will be constructed from a single piece of material. This is in contrast to the iPhone 4S which featured two separate sheets of glass with a metallic band sandwiched between the two. Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets recently completed a tour of numerous Chinese and Taiwanese manufacturing plants and was very excited by what he saw. He commented on the Business Insider internet site, "In our view, this will be the most significant iPhone upgrade with a four-inch screen and a new, sleek look that we believe will require a uni body case". If these rumours are correct it seems that the new iPhone will impress with both its design and its technical specification.

We are expecting to see the new iPhone 5 launched during the summer of 2012. Whenever Apple do decide to release this phone we can expect an unprecedented level of demand thanks to an exciting new chassis and a very powerful new chipset.

The iPhone 5 is coming soon and some great iPhone 4S contract deals are available now.
