HP Pavilion m6t Announced, a 15” Screen Almost Ultrabook

The HP Pavilion m6t was announced today, and while it’s not exactly slim and light enough for HP to call an Ultrabook, it certainly strives to be that. Weighing in at around 5lbs it’s lighter than the average 15” notebook and also much slimmer at around 1-inch thick. The Pavilion m6t is also more fully equipped than an Ultrabook, it has the latest Intel Ivy Bridge processor options and dual speakers and a subwoofer. The look of the Pavilion m6 is a lot like the ENVY lineup of Ultrabooks, it has a brush aluminum finish but uses plastics as well in order to keep the price down to around $699. Battery life should come in at around 8-hours, making it a great option for those that are on the go but still want a big screen.

The full specs for the Pavilion m6t base configuration are as follows:

Processor: Intel Core i3 or i5 Ivy Bridge CPU
Screen: 15.6” 1366 x 768 resolution
Memory: 4GB of RAM
Storage: 500GB HD
Graphics: Intel HD 4000 or discrete graphics options
Battery Life: 8 hours
Weight: 5lbs
Audio: Beats Audio and Subwoofer
Keyboard: Backlit option, number pad built in
HP also put together a video overview of the Pavilion m6 that you can view below:
